Bloxsom Roofing has since its beginning responded to the needs of residential roofs with flat to low sloped roofs.
Trouble is, most roofs of this type are geared toward the commercial market. Limiting the choices of color (mostly either White or Black) patterns (up until recently non-existent) and length of warranty (mostly 2 yrs). The reasons for this are pretty standard with most manufactures. Most commercial customers only notice there roofs if they fail, they become a place to put mecanical equipment and reflect the heat from their building. Making a white mechanically attached roof well suited for this customer and because this is the manufactures main consumer their warranties are geared toward them. In order to qualify for these extended warranties (they run anywhere from 10 yrs.-20yrs.) a fee is charged and the roof is inspected before issuing. Because of the size of most residential projects both the cost and inspection would be prohibitive. Although we were able to offer the same membrane put down with the same expertise the lack of warranty made many confused and frustrated. We felt the same but could not offer what was unavailable.
A few years ago our company was approached by a representative from
IB roofing. What he offered changed the way we would approach residential roofing. Like other preferred membranes IB is a PVC, and like other PVC roofing the majority of its applications are using a white membrane that is mechanically attached. Also where a roof slope is more visible
colors are available, or what really excites us, a pattern that looks like shingles (See
Traditions). As to the warranty (are you ready for this?) .....................a limited LIFETIME material Residential warranty!!!!!!!
Because of this we have totally committed our residential roofing to IB Roofing. We had completed many homes with this product the last few years and with the introduction of new patterns and product lines we anticipate our residential market to grow. Speaking of expanding product line we almost forgot to tell you about
Deckshield same PVC with a non-skid surface intended for walk out decks that have dwelling space underneath needing protection.
